Laura Beschi and Alessio Scandale are an Italian choreographic duo based in Berlin. Both graduated from the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance (SEAD), and since 2010 they have nurtured an artistic dialogue that weaves together physical precision, sensitivity and a refined sense of theatricality.
They have been long-time collaborators of the Berlin-based company cie. toula limnaios, creating and performing in numerous works that toured internationally throughout Europe and beyond.
As a duo, they have created Relazioni 2.0, Quanto, Parlez-moi d’amour (in collaboration with cie. toula limnaios), and, most recently, Room with View (2025). Their choreographic research explores themes of intimacy, connection and the poetry of everyday gesture.
Alongside their creative work, Laura and Alessio are actively engaged in artistic research and pedagogy. In 2020, they founded BetweenUs partnering practice, a physical dialogue practice that places interaction and shared presence at its core, which they continue to teach across renowned institutions and international festivals.
